• Brother of the same name and the city of Liepaja. I would want to believe, he is also a creative brother because there is no other person that I have worked with on as many projects for MicRec releases. We share countless gold and platinum record awards. After all, he is the creator of our logo design. He is a man that I can fully rely on. A bit stubborn, but always accurate, creative, bestowed with enormous work capacity as an artist.
• Thinking about the eternal and you Guntar, I sink into the memories of the wonderful journeys we shared in the world of sound, which, thanks to the light touches of your fingers on the keyboard, turned into charming designs of song album covers, colorful constructions, complementing the sound of records and taking them to distribution, as a value that will never disappear , but will appeal to people again and again, drawing their attention to the melodies of the compositions and the thoughts and emotions of the poets. I am happy and proud that I could be a part of creating it all together. Thanks to Ivars Kalniņš.
• It is not easy with me because I am one of those customers that ''knows it all better''. We have never argued. Most likely our understanding of the basics of the two arts are built by great masters and teachers from Academy of Fine Arts in graphic design. I know what I want, but Guntars will know how to make it work and I will not have to add anything. That is a rare tandem!
• There was a time when we discovered that our ideas are being used in other places we got upset, but with time we have realized that ideas continuously are born and are seeded into the world. They never end. The more you give ideas you put out the more shall be returned in their place because creation itself is the path and a process. Therefore, I like the idea of creating with Guntars because he is process driven rather than product custom driven. This is the Dao. And throughout this ride enjoying the good company! (Goč Pendel!)
